You don’t have to run in mph you have to run 2 miles in 15:58 (min:sec) at the most.

3 miles under 28 minutes (preferably)
Here is a chart of what is expected of you. Hope this helps.

Wrong question. Forget the ‘minimum standards’ for ‘passing.’ “Standards” are for the Army.

Focus instead of how fast you can train yourself to be…what your maximums are, not our minimums. The gold standard in the Marine Corps is to maintain an average of 10mph (6 minute miles) for 3 miles.

sheesh why cant any of these people give the right answer….you have to be able to run a mile and a half in 13:30 or less for your initial test when you first get to boot camp. to graduate boot camp you’ll need to be able to run 3 miles in 28:00 or less. If you’re going to TRY and become a Marine then you’ll want to achieve more then just the minimum standards or you’ll find boot camp and the Corps will be an almost impossible challenge.

Being Canadian I love the shout out and by the way this is written your probably just some 10 year old kid but you need to get your facts right!, first off you do not need to be in “special ops” to get into JTF2, any member of the Canadian forces can apply for selection with 2 years of active duty service or 3 years in the reserves. Secondly you don’t have to do 100 push ups, the push up aspect is done on the physical fitness test long before you ever make it to selection and you only need 40 to pass, lastly you don’t stay with them till you die, after the special operators course which lasts a total of 9 months you will sign a contract for 4 years after that its totally up to you, and I don’t have to look it up all of this is straight from the JTF2 recruiting site, thanks for your time.
