How long does it take to lose weight if you starve yourself?

it depends how your metabolism is now. it usually takes people a week sometimes more for them to stop getting hungry and there metabolism is slow and they lose weight. after the second week its really hard to lose weight.
serious answer, you really won’t lose any weight because you gain it all backa nd then some once you go back to normal eating habits

you won’t lose weight. coz your body will tell you “oh, this is the starvation mode” so it will protect you from losing weight by shutting down some of your systems and start eating your muscle to use for energy (: I know coz I’ve tried it for 3 days and trust me…it was HELL!!! instead, do normal diets and excercise and low calorie intake and plenty of water that’s all.
Hate to tell you but you won’t lose much if any because you body goes into starvation mode and shuts down. So if you lose any at all, it will come back doubled as soon as you start eating again.

it really wouldn’t help because you need to eat 3 to 5 meals a day to keep your body full of energy.but healthy meals, starving yourself would only make you fatter, i know it sounds dumb but it’s the truth.you need to eat healthy and some serious exercise.
you asked for honest and serious? it,s a dangerous diet that can damage your internal organs. find one health care professional who says i,m wrong. you have to have 1200=1500 calories of balanced nutrients a day just to survive. if you,ve even done this, you might agree with me. good luck.
I am actually “fasting” but i am not starving myself. I am on Lemonade Diet, it’s a liquid supplement I got from GNC. What I do is put 1 oz of the liquid into 8 oz of water On this particular diet, I am allowed to eat any fruits or vegetables. This is meant to be taken 2-4 days but I have heard a lot of ppl do 7 days and loose more weight. I have heard of ppl loosing 10 lbs doing this, and also other cleansers you can get at GNC or elsewhere. I am on my second day and I have lost two pounds. After this I’ll have to find another diet so that I can KEEP the weight off. But this is my quick fix for now if that is what you are looking for. It’s healthy to do temporarily. and yes i am hungry but I am getting some nutrients so it’s not tearing up my body. When you starve yourself your body will hold the food you later put in your body and you’ll gain more weight than before.

The first three days are hell, you feel like you have the flu and the food cravings are more intense than ever. But after the first three days, I’ve heard your body quits feeling weak and hungry because your body switches to ketosis (burning fat for energy instead of relying on food intake.) Apparently, in the first week you really don’t lose much at all (just water weigh I think) but every day after the first week, I think you lose about a pound a day.
Of course, I can only say I know this from reading other people’s experiences. I’ve personally never made it past the second day, the food cravings are just too intense and you feel really weak and even dizzy.
Well honey you don’t want to starve yourself because the risk are death stroke and you may have serious breathing and health problems so all you have to do is exercise everyday eat well drink lots of water and go to the gym if you have to but don’t starve yourself.
listen i know you dont want to hear this but if you eat fruit and veggies instead of junk food or even try eating healthier you will start to feel better. if you throw in a little exercise with that you will start to lose weight. trust me.
I did it once and i lost so many kgs and all my hairs. I gained it back in three months once i started normal,leaving me all the more frustated. On a week long Fast you can lose up to 20 lbs. A person can Fast for up to 30 days without doing any damage to themselves.
One week long Fast
Day 1: Eat nothing all day, drink only fresh filtered water, in the late afternoon drink about 16 – 20 oz of prune juice. (helps clean you out).
Day 2: Eat nothing, drink lots of water, towards the end of the day give yourself an enema. (cleans out the waste that is building up in your bowels)
Day 3 – 7: Repeat day 2
Day 8 – 10: Drink diluted juice, and small amounts of fresh raw vegetables.
If you feel up to it, go on a long walk every day.
Do Not abruptly go off the fast after 3 days and pig out, you’ll get very sick.
Honestly if you decide to starve yourself, well you already know it’s not good, but it slows down your metabolism dramatically so when you do eventually get yourself to eat that food that you intake will have a huge effect on your body.
Its just not a good idea lol, but really try eating 5 or 6 SMALL meals a day and also white and green will increase the rate of your metabolism & of course you know exercise will make you lose weight but you don’t have to stress about doing strenuous activity, a light walk around your neighborhood or park is perfect. Well even if you decide to dismiss all that i’ve said here try not to starve yourself for too long or then you’ll be addicted. Ok hope i helped

-Do a cardio exercise when you get up in the morning like walking or running (this jump starts your metabolism and you’ll feel more energetic throughout your day)
-eat a healthy breakfast (like whole grain cherios)
-there’s this exercise that you can do to burn stomach fat (and work your obliques), you stand up, put our arms out and twist side to side using your stomach muscles to stop yourself each time you twist. do this for about 3-5 minutes a day (or more if you want to loose weight faster)

omg dont dooo it noooooo!!! exercise, eat right, anything but starve urself, thats just gunna make everything worse, your body will take in everything you eat after u starve urself and store it as fat because it thinks you need it, cuz u dont have any food in ur belly, plus youl get stomache aches, and crazy shit like that, just dont doo it!!
people who tell you you wont lose weight are wrong…..I am a recovered anorexic. When I starved myself i generally lost 1-2 pounds per day. Your body automatically starts losing weight once you starve yourself because there are no new calories going into your body, so your body is burning old calories to keep going. The more calories you burn the more weight you lose. However as soon as you eat you gain weight because your body will store everything you ate as fat.
Alternate Calories
The theory behind alternating calories is a good one. The body determines how many calories to burn based on data collected from the previous days caloric intake. For instance, if someone normally eats around 2000 calories a day, the body will become accustomed to burning at least this much. When one alternates calories, they eat the typical amount of calories for one to two days and then drastically drops the amount of calories for one to two days, and then return to the normal amount.
For instance, Monday and Tuesday might be 2000 calorie days while Wednesday and Thursday are 1000 calorie days and then back to the 2000 calorie diet for Friday and Saturday. Sunday would be a 1000 calorie day. This tricks the body into burning more calories and helping the individual lose weight.
