How much water should i drink to lose weight?

I heard water makes you lose weight and I’m trying to lose weight quick. As i am 5’8 150 lbs. How much water should i drink a day to help me lose weight? Thanks.

    No, water does not “make” you lose weight. Water can help you feel full so you might eat less…and it’s healthy overall to keep your body running properly, your skin hydrated, etc.

    They still say it’s a good idea to have at least 64 oz. a day, but for some people even more is good. A large glass of water shortly before each meal can help you not eat so much.

    Don’t forget to eat right, get enough calories (but not too many) and exercise! Good luck!

    Drinking water will not make you loose weight–your kidneys will just pee it all out; and drinking too much can actually be harmful as you can dilute out sodium and other critical electrolytes in your blood. An extra glass at each meal might make you feel fuller so you eat less, however.

    It won’t actually make you lose weight, but getting 8-12 cups of water a day will help your body and your digestive system run more smoothly, it will help flush any junk out of your body and detoxify, and if you are burning fat it will help flush the waste products from that out of your system.

    So yeah. 8-12 cups a day, or roughly 2-3 litres.
