If you are already overweight, is it okay to diet and start body building? IE Will my existing fat substitute.

I have read that cardio counteracts muscle gain due to the release of catabolic hormones thereby breaking down muscle tissue. I do 2-3 hours of cardio a day, seven days a week. I am on a strict diet and eat less than 2000 calories a day. It is suggested for muscle gain that I have extra calories. Since I am already overweight, will my existing fat substitute? Or should I focus on losing the weight then on building? Which would be the optimal choice.

You will not “substitute” fat for muscle…doesn’t work that way. You WILL burn off fat and lose weight….and you will gain muscle tone with strength training. It can be done simultaneousely.

actually the fat will burn off but you actually have to have fat to gain muscle otherwise your just going to be tone and if your gonna be building muscle get lots of protein in your diet

You should difently focus on lifting first cause most of that fat is good for turning in to muscle. If you lose the weight first your body will have nothing burn. Your going to gain weight when your building muscle cause it weighs more so dont be surprise to see it jump up but you will start to see your muscles comming in

If the ban was not for seven days, I trust you have similarly admonished Wairoa District Council Maori liaison officer Ropata Ainsley. My comments were based on his statement, plainly quoted in my blog: “The rahui would be in place for seven days, he said.”

As for “respect”, in my circles it does not demand a halt to all activities for a certain number of days every time somebody dies. Otherwise nothing would get done.

For how many days did the ban apply, by the way? It's all very well asserting I'm wrong – but how about helping out by providing the correct information?

For a new build the X58 based setup is a less than optimal choice. You want a 1155 Sandy bridge i5 setup. Faster for almost everything than the older i7′s.
