If you eat mentos and drink diet coke at the same time will your stomach explode?

Heard about the pop rocks/ pop theory and the mentos and diet coke and was wondering since mentos + diet coke in bottle = explosion if the same would happen in your stomach.

i heard that some idiot did this and it ruptured his stomach.. just imagine what happens in a liter bottle on a smaller scale inside your stomach.. they did this on mythbusters and it blew up the pig stomach..

I doubt it. I saw a video clip of this experiment on youtube and they had to stuff in a roll or better of the sweets to get an effect. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to eat that many sweets with that much cola anyway.

    Cheers

That’s what I read. I received an email that said that we must drink diet coke whilst eating mentos. I’m not sure but if I were you I wouldn’t try it. I think that if this reaction takes place in a bottle it will also take place in human’s stomach

Let's not forget Pop Rocks. My favorite candy as a kid!!! I was partial to the watermelon flavor.

In Brooklyn NY we call it soda.

I didn't know there were such combinations as pop rocks and chocolate! Amazing candy ingenuity, indeed. But I tried the bar again, and I kind of like the ratio of chocolate to pop in the bar. I'll definitely try the coated rocks if I ever see them, though.

Awe, I'm sorry. Getting used to a change like that is the shits. I hope she redeems herself by being a really nice, helpful, useful, pleasant person who likes to spend time alone in her room. And cooks really well. And doesn't drink Diet Coke. (more for you and Adam, of course) So is this just for the summer? Will she go back to Ohio in the fall?

But the obvious thing, to me anyway, is that you could have been Adam's new roommate. Or is it not quite time to move in together?
