    @queenastilon

    the original video costs a fortune these days – it’s very sought after. i sadly lost my tape back in the 90s, but still have the workout book.

    @jwsound Oh really? That background music was jammin’ when it first came on. Good music helps a great deal when working out. Great job.

    I bought this vid when it first came out… on Betamax! Cost a fortune at the time, but I was so sick of trying to do it from her Workout Book… that took so long. Then my VCR broke and I kept the tape at my boyfriend’s place, and HE started doing the workout LOL.

    @ScienceProjek not necessarily the first, but she did seem to be the first to establish the video trend (this still remains one of the highest grossing videos ever in any genre)

  13. ScienceProjek says:

    Did she originate workout videos?… Just wondering… Or was she just the one that went mainstream with it?

  14. sixtieslides says:

    yup, the REAL 80s workout buzz. Gotta love Jane

  16. jwsound says:

    I did the sound for these first videos. Jane was in amazing shape. When we were doing the movie “9 to 5″, Jane would teach a class at her Workout Studio on Robertson at 6 in the morning. She would then come in to work around 7:30 and do a full day of acting on the movie. More energy than I think most of us will ever have in our lives

  17. Sadowianka says:

    Sharpo: Emanuel Cleaver's statement was as absolute a confession of ignorance as I've ever read. Personally, I'd put this bozo up there with Jane Fonda, except he didn't spread his thighs over a cannon when he said it.

    Why you suppose this has anything to do with Obama is a trifle mysterious, though. But I guess you need to reach for something, as does most of Wingnut Nation these days.
