Jillian Michaels – Weirdos Who Train Too Much

People who train too much create an energy deficit and shut their metabolism down. This is one reason why it is so difficult for them to lose those last 10 pounds. – Jillian Michaels at eDiets Live, Fort Lauderdale 2008

She’s talking about not being able to drink alcohol if you want to get those last 10 lbs off, and says “I can’t wait til the show’s over, I have a whole bottle of Petron just for myself.” lol

    Why do you care?

  13. josepablobolanos says:

And why would that be? She is a specialist in her field and she clearly enjoys helping people from the fattest country in the world control their weight. What is it exactly that makes her repugnant?

  14. tnsandland says:

What a repugnant person she is.

Obesity? The problem? PROCESSED FOODS!!! Processed foods also lack nutrition, thereby creating a slower metabolism and poor health. This is what causes obesity.Raw foods are the answer–foods with COLOR & FIBER–get a juicer & supplements.

definitely true radio. i think that we should pass ordinances on portion control. i know that people are probably going to say that that is “limiting their freedom” but let’s be real… 62% of Americans are morbidly obese. Our kids are growing up obese. We are constantly dropping dead from heart attacks, diabetes, what have you. It’s just ridiculous.

  21. radio187 says:

The US is in serious need of fitness balance. Our populace is comprised of either morbidly obese, sedentary heart-attack people, or love-the-pain, antisocial, roid-raging fitness nazis.

the last 10 pounds are the worst.

I don’t have one, I did all of this at home. I take Ab Ripper X and Yoga X from the P90X series, plus Jillian Michaels’ circuit trainings, and then I do at least one 5k a week. It’s also tough because everyone that I live around doesn’t understand my goals, or like I have an alcoholic roommate who hates to drink alone and consistently tries to get me to drink with her even though I’ve told her I gave up alcohol. Though I did give her an ultimatum now that she’s 21 that if she ever asks me again I’m moving out.

    >What triggers the release of all these stored fatty acids from the fat cell? Simple: When your body needs energy because you’re consuming fewer calories than you are burning (an energy deficit), then your body releases hormones and enzymes that signal your fat cells to release your fat reserves instead of keeping them in storage. I have 2 questions. 1. When is the fat cell catalyzed rather than a muscle cell? 2. Does this mean you should workout in a fasted or calorically lower state?
