I was an original EN signee until all of the koolaid wore off regarding “we are not like the other guys”…i.e. cost for plans, advice, etc;..well, the pricing changed (kept pace with the economy I guess) so I moved on from EN. (but, I think the board, resources are very nice)…so, with that said…I am not a swimmer, but I do have a 1:08ish Ironman Swim….I don’t look at the swim segment as taking time away from my other workouts, but a good FAT BURNER and ACTIVE RECOVERY along with building OVERALL FITNESS..so, whether my 1k swim is 1 sec faster or not…I see it as a plus to swim.

That's right – as it happens, H. G. Wells wrote a short science fiction story based on this very idea (a really fat person who wanted to lose weight, and literally became weightless). Would make for an interesting reading in Physics class, if people actually paid attention.
And btw, I have no problem with sounding geeky and would very easily say "I need to lose mass!", were it not for the fact that I'm actually undermass :D

I am sorry to say my jeans are not baggier and in fact, PACE doesn't work very well for me due to the time factor. What I do like and what I am continuing to do is to push my body to its maximum (heart rate-wise) for several minutes during an exercise routine and then let it return to a more normal heart rate and then do another push. I find cycling does that quite well as you really push going uphill and you relax on a downhill. I also find Kathy Smith's Power Walking DVD does a fair job of PACE although she isn't calling it PACE.
As for a forum discussing PACE I do not know of one other than those of us who are talking about it right here. Does anyone have anything further to add regarding the exercise program and their success with it or their lack of success with it?
On a final note, I suspect for baggier jeans I would have to resist putting tasty morsels in my mouth more than I do, so until that day my jeans will continue to fit me just fine.
