    great video, im 16 at 5 11 and 203 pounds, im thick I have naturally big shoulders, squared chest and a 2 pack the rest is just flat but I wanted to try and get at least a 6 pack, would I need to lose weight for that or can I just do some harder ab workouts?

    @canyonballa Not an old wives tale sadly. It’s true. BUT, you don’t have to sacrifice muscle in order to get your heart conditioned and strong. Interval based, explosive training (what I call AthLEAN Burst Training) is a way to keep what you’ve spent a long time building! Thanks for watching

    Jeff, this is the first video I’ve seen of you and I gotta say you sold me. I used to train with my dad (who was a pretty big guy himself) but all I ever got from him were the workout motions.

    The biggest question I want to ask has to do with running. Will cardio exercises and long running sessions decrease muscle gain due to the body burning up resources, or is that just an old wives tale?

    @ACDC88 Any time you put your hands behind your head or have them bent at your sides like in the above exercise and you rotate them out in a posterior direction. You’ll see that the hands holding the dumbbells rotate out in a posterior direction as well because that is the direction the shoulders are rotating too. When Jeff rolls his arms out to the side before doing the lateral raise and his arms make a “w” shape that’s external rotation.

    awesome routines, EXCEPT for the medicine ball/shoulder press 5.25. That’s not righteous AT ALL. Major risk of injury on that and there’s no benefit that i can see on doing the presses like these. That is, unless someone else can prove it.

    Thank you so much Jeff! I can’t believe we got that for free! That saved so much time from doing internal and external rotation exercises. Just that tweak in a traditional exercise made a big improvement! Truth be told external rotation shoulder exercises although crucial is often important-maybe because they’re so boring. But now I can’t forget them with these exercises.

    u kidding me? Dwight Howard Have huge bones, first of all. By the way, he’s 2,11 cm and 120 kg. U never dont have shoulders like Dwight, cause you must have Huge bones and big Body.

    Oh man, I thought I was the only one who noticed shoulders! Lol. I have such a thing for big shoulders on men. And I cannot stand small shoulders on guys. Huge turn-off! I also hope she dumps Ryan. He seems like such a male slut. She certainly deserves better than that.
