What is a good diet for a marital arts student?

What would be a good low fat diet for a 18-year old martial artist who has the following qualities……

236 pounds
6 foot 4 inches
Marital Artist
Athletic build (has gut though, but wants to get rid of it)

Looking for a low fat diet! Any suggestions?

    Have you asked your instructor what they think. You cant go wrong with the typical healthy diet of fruit, vegetables, wheat, etc. The other simple formula is to do more cardio and burn more calories than you bring in.

    I am one who will gain on Atkins and will suffer low blood sugar if I eat low carb. I also will lose weight & inches when on a low fat diet as opposed to high protein, high fat & low carb – when at the same calorie count for both. I really think it depends on your own body and whether you have a sluggish gallbladder and/or liver.
