What is a good price for one month of a gym membership at LA Fitness?
I’m going to LA Fitness tomorrow to see if I like the place and also to see how much it will be. The guy on the phone said that they only do month-to-month memberships. I’m just wondering what other people pay who go there, or to any other gym.

I pay 38 dollars Canadian for a gym that I go to. It’s a sports and wellness center. So has basketball courts, a workout area, a couple pools, a sauna and so forth.
I came here to say that I’ve been an LA Fitness member for a bit over a year (moved over from 24), and while my gym is staffed with about 5 trainers that I see there regularly, there’s only one I’d train with. (It’s a funds issue for me.) Fuck the guy you got your evaluation from; he didn’t listen to what you wanted, or pay attention to the fact that you have some idea what you’re doing. Keep going to your gym, and pay attention to what trainers are there. You’ll see some that do stupid bosu-ball shit with their clients, don’t pay attention, and don’t care. But you may also notice one or two whose clients see results, who take their job seriously, and who know what they’re doing. If, after a month or two, you still want to work with a trainer, you’ll know whom to hire. Good luck!
