What is the easiest way to start a diet?
I don’t want to start a diet that is run by a program (weight watchers, atkins, etc.). I want to do something on my own.

buy a book on what’s healthy to eat, what to eat, how much to eat, when to eat.
You could start by not eating any breakfast or lunch but drink lots of fluid then eat a good dinner. every day for 2-3 months you will lose it you will notice.

Take baby steps. First, try to not eat any junk food. Then, try to increase the fruit and vegetables in your diet and so on. When you change your eating habits slowly, the change is less drastic. But, always watch your calories. Portion control is key in weight loss.
